Issuance of Special Project Permit

A Special Project Permit in the Philippines is a document issued by the zoning office or local government unit (LGU) to authorize the commencement of a specific development project, such as a building or land-use development. It ensures that the project complies with local zoning laws, land use ordinances, and other regulations that govern the area where the project will be undertaken.

These projects may require additional requirements such as but not limited to:

• Environmental Compliance Certificate/Certificate of Non-Coverage
• Barangay Clearance
• Affidavit of No Objection from Adjacent Occupants
• SB Resolutions, etc.

Special Projects are categorized as:

• Poultry and Piggery

  STANDARDS:

  • Piggery & Poultry shall be located in an Agri-industrial, agricultural zone and outside the urban areas
  • Piggery & Poultry shall be located 25 meters radius from sources of the ground and surface drinking water
  • Piggery shall be 500 meters away from major roads and/or highways. For Poultry shall be 200 meters away from major roads and/or highways.
  • Medium and Large scale piggery and poultry farms shall be at least 1,000 meters away from built-up areas(residential,commercial,institutional, and industrial)while small scale poultry farms shall be at least 500 meters away from built-up areas.

• Cellsite/Tower

• Telecommunication Lines

• Ricemill

• Slaughter house/Abattoir

  STANDARDS:

  • 200 meters from the Residential areas; school; churches; other places of assembly; central public offices
  • 25 meters from Market/Food Establishments

• Cockpit

  STANDARDS:

  • One Cockpit per Municipality per 100,000.00 population is allowed
  • 200 meters to 500 meters from the National Highway
  • Shall be constructed at least 200 meters radial distance from any residential or commercial areas, school buildings, churches or other public buildings

• Funeral Parlor

  STANDARD LOCATION:

  • 200 meters from the abbattoirs, schools & hospitals
  • 50 meters from the Market
  • 25 meters from restaurants, food center & other food establishments

  MINIMUM AREA REQUIREMENTS:

  • CATEGORY I - minimum land area of 600 sq.m
  • CATEGORY II - minimum land area of 420 sq.m
  • CATEGORY III - minimum land area of 280 sq.m

  CLASSIFICATION OF FUNERAL ESTABLISHMENTS:

  • CATEGORY I - funeral establishments with chapels and embalming facilities and offering funeral services.
  • CATEGORY II - funeral establishments with chapels and offering funeral services without embalming facilities;
  • CATEGORY III - funeral establishments offering only funeral services from the house of the deceased to the burial place.
